Problems contacting facebook about a fake account

I have been trying to get a fake profile of me removed off of facebook now for a number of months. It has been driving me crazy because i know exactly who has done this i just can't prove it and if i can't prove it the police are not interested. I have reported it to facebook numerous times but it still remains! i am looking for now a facebook number uk that i can call. I have also had my friends reporting it for me but it doesn't seem to make a difference it still just sits there. I am getting really worried now though because it seems that no one can help me out. I have considered getting a solicitor involved but this is going to cost a lot of money and i don't actually know if they would be able to do anything for me. The biggest problem with all of this is proof, i don't see how i can prove that it is one person doing it, i know it will be this person because of our past but i have nothing on paper to prove it!
