Freshwater Pearl Jewellery

I first realised there was a need for an outlet selling a range of freshwater pearl jewellery when I was looking for a specific style of pearl earring for myself.

I hunted high and low in the high street and then again on the internet and could not find what I was looking for. I was surprised at the lack of pearl jewellery sellers. I eventually found something like the earrings I was looking for in an expensive shop in London and felt at the time I paid too much for them.

Once upon a time pearls were very expensive and difficult to harvest. However with the advent of pearl farms it has become much easier and more cost effective to produce fabulous pearl jewellery at very reasonable prices. Cultured freshwater pearls are very much ‘real’ pearls with the same lustre and clarity as pearls which once cost very much more so now we can have many more pieces in our wardrobe.

Because of this pearl jewellery is becoming increasingly popular as fashion items. Pearls can be dressed ‘up’ or ‘down’, can compliment an outfit for the evening or a casual pair of jeans and T shirt. They have a lovely ‘organic’ feel to them and take on the warmth of the body whilst wearing them. The light and lustre of white pearls always gives a real lift to any complexion.
