I can appreciate all the typical garments that are popular with women - those lovely Fever dresses that seem to be all the rage at the moment for example. But I'm also an old-fashioned girl, and I want to say how much I love and appreciate sweaters. Now and then I discover a brand or style of sweater I was not familiar with, and now and then there’s one with a delightful print that makes me smile to wear it and entertains everyone who sees me. My favorite threads are wool and cotton, or blends of either fiber. In the past couple of years, I have been able to purchase a new-with-tags Dale of Norway sweater on eBay in the official pattern for the Olympic Games in Salt Lake City, as well as a genuine Coogi and a genuine Tundra cotton sweater. Among my favorites are a fantastic light blue wool sweater with a sleigh ridden by Snoopy and a red cotton sweater with Snoopy skiing. My Willis and Geiger red wool sweater with safari animals is also a treasure. Don’t skip over sweaters when looking for easy-care, cozy and often entertaining fashion items. You’ll be a lot warmer and give a sense of personal relaxation to those around you. |

Over the years the fashion trends have brought forth a wide variety of fashion items to the market. Ranging from hair accessories to clothes, jewelry, shoes, bags to mention but a few, whatever your preference is reflects on how you want society to perceive you. We all have that favorite fashion item and undoubtedly mine is the denim jean. First and foremost denim jeans are generally classy and can be worn with practically anything ranging from casual shoes, trainers, casual shirt or t-shirt and still make you look good. They come in different sizes, colors and style. I will give you a tip on picking the right denim jean for yourself. When you go out shopping look for the perfect trim fit and always ask the showroom for a place to fit them on. Also make sure you are comfortable and that the color shade enhances your skin color or can be paired with other clothes in your wardrop collection. |

Necklaces, although very stylish and lovely to look at, can be very messy and troublesome when they aren’t stored properly. When they’re clumped together in a messy pile or stored with other necklaces in a small box, the chains tend to get tangled in one another. And trying to take them apart is a lot like trying to solve a puzzle. One wrong move, and another stubborn knot can form, or worse, the chain could break! They are such a pain to try and take apart!
To avoid this, you have to properly store your necklaces when they’re not being worn. Using a necklace holder instead of a jewelry box is very ideal, since it keeps your necklaces from being entangled in other various pieces of jewelry. Also, there are a number of holders that double as pieces of home deco, so both you and your home can keep looking stylish! |

I am one of those types of people that love giving gifts! Usually during the holidays I go all out for my boyfriend and my family. I like to get big electronics and expensive cologne and perfume. I think that it's fun to get one giant present and then a few smaller ones. I sometimes also make gifts - bespoke jewellery for the female side of my family, using my jewellery making supplies. I prefer to get more then one because they are so much fun to open. It could be my love of shopping, or maybe it gives me hopes of receiving awesome gifts that gets me motivated to do it. It's also great to see the smile one peoples faces when they open something that they figured they would have to get for themselves. I even think that it's fun to participate in small secret santa gift swaps because it's always random and funny stuff! I have to say, I think I do a pretty good job when I buy gifts, and put a lot of thought into it. |

My favourite fashion items are versatile and unique pieces. I pride myself on having pieces that very few others have because I hate looking the same as everyone else. I love fashion, but if ten other girls are wearing the same top as me I just don’t feel stylish in my own right. Sure, I like snug boots for example, but so many others seem to be wearing them where I live, I feel like I'm just copying them! So I have a beautiful beaded necklace that I bought from a souk in Marrakech. This necklace is very colourful with little glass beads and goes with just about everything. People are always commenting on how pretty it is and are surprised when they find out how little it cost. Then there is a lovely dark green scarf that I bought in Ecuador. This is made from 100% pure Alpaca wool and is not only warm and cosy but a really unique winter fashion piece. It also looks very expensive. One of my favourite tops is one that I acquired from a vintage store in London. The top has been cleverly designed using a vintage silk scarf with an amazing lilac and blue Pucci-style print. So it’s a throwback to the 70’s but the way it has been re-sewn together to make a halter neck with a sexy low-cut back is ultra modern. |

Handbags are such a personal item, even though they are very public accessories, just like the costume jewellery I like to show off to the public. There are so many shapes and styles of handbags available to match every possible outfit, so it is a difficult choice when it comes to choosing a favorite. What might be my favorite handbag today may lie languishing on my closet floor next week. It all depends on my mood and how I’m feeling. However, I am particularly fond of a retro look handbag right now, one which I found in my mother’s belongings that goes back to the 1940s. It is definitely unique and different, with an old-fashioned clasp and rigid handles. Still, it is quite roomy and compliments many of my outfits. It has remained in good shape over the years, and is quite the conversation starter, since not many people can boast having a handbag that is about 70 years old! I once was offered $300 to sell it to a vintage clothing store, but I refused. That is what probably makes this my favorite. It’s definitely one of a kind in this day and age. |

Never have I worn more comfortable shoes, hands down. When I first saw the olive green hemp boots online, I simply shrugged them off for being far too expensive. I kid you not when I say these are soft on your soles but are extremely sturdy. After hearing from a friend who swears by them and has had them in great condition after two years, it was time to invest in these shoes. Now, I am not the kind to to splurge on new shoes every other weekend - most of my closet is hand picked from thrift stores, and that includes shoes. The pair of canvas boots hits just below my ankles. With pinstripe lining the insides, the shoes have detailed character. With a simplistic but durable design, TOMs has won me over and I am about to purchase their line of waterproof winter boots. For the first time I have decided to spend a little bit extra for the undeniable quality. |

I first realised there was a need for an outlet selling a range of freshwater pearl jewellery when I was looking for a specific style of pearl earring for myself.
I hunted high and low in the high street and then again on the internet and could not find what I was looking for. I was surprised at the lack of pearl jewellery sellers. I eventually found something like the earrings I was looking for in an expensive shop in London and felt at the time I paid too much for them.
Once upon a time pearls were very expensive and difficult to harvest. However with the advent of pearl farms it has become much easier and more cost effective to produce fabulous pearl jewellery at very reasonable prices. Cultured freshwater pearls are very much ‘real’ pearls with the same lustre and clarity as pearls which once cost very much more so now we can have many more pieces in our wardrobe.
Because of this pearl jewellery is becoming increasingly popular as fashion items. Pearls can be dressed ‘up’ or ‘down’, can compliment an outfit for the evening or a casual pair of jeans and T shirt. They have a lovely ‘organic’ feel to them and take on the warmth of the body whilst wearing them. The light and lustre of white pearls always gives a real lift to any complexion. |

Having a baby takes a toll on a family, especially on a marriage. Weeks of recovery and weeks of sleep deprivation make it hard to tend to one another’s needs. Every marriage can handle a small break from intimacy if there are enough margins in the relationship, but it is not wise to let too much time elapse before rekindling with your partner. As a woman, you may not feel very sexy after having a baby. It is important to your body image and to your relationship that you take responsibility for a healthy self image. Buy yourself some new bridal lingerie that makes you feel beautiful and attractive. Dress up during the day don’t just wear sweats. Let yourself buy new clothes if your old ones do not fit. Give yourself a break even if you lose the weight, you may forever be a different shape, and that is okay. If you do not have family in town, find a babysitter that you trust, and go out for a romantic dinn er. Spend that quality time alone together and rekindle the intimacy that your relationship deserves. |
