Antique copper saucepans, jam preserving pans and copper cauldrons are very attractive items and often extremely well made. Many antique copper items are hand made, beautifully crafted and are both decorative as well as practical and pragmatic, and make wonderful kitchenware items.
Some of the very old copper saucepans still available today are from famous coppersmiths such as 'Moresi & Lucca' and 'Boscacci & Moresi'. Many of these coppersmiths were working from workshops in and around London, at the end of the 19th and start of the 20th centuries.
Copper jam preserving pans are lovely items. They look great hanging up in the kitchen, especially when polished, and are extremely practical when it come to making jam and preserves. Everyday soft fruit, such as strawberries and even raspberries, are of course usually used for making jams and other spreads, but wonderful jams can be made from more unusual fruit, such as rhubarb and quince.
